A QR PNG from text you type, not a generator that logs the payload
A QR code is a picture of a string. Wi-Fi passwords and vCards have dedicated pages that escape those payloads. This page is for a URL or a short note. Error correction (L/M/Q/H), quiet-zone margin, and colours are controls on this page — H survives more dirt and makes a denser code.
Download PNG, not JPEG. JPEG ringing on high-contrast modules can make a scan fail. The PNG comes from the canvas via toBlob. Scan the download with your own phone before you print.
An empty box renders a single-space placeholder so the library does not throw. Anyone who photographs the printout has the string; placement is access control, not the file format.

- 1Type or paste the URL/text you want to encode.
- 2Optionally adjust size, error correction, colors, and quiet zone.

- 4Click “Download PNG” to save it.
QR Code Generator FAQ
- Should I generate a Wi-Fi or vCard QR here?
- No. Wi-Fi QR and vCard QR have dedicated pages that escape those payloads. This page is for a URL or a short note. Putting a password in the free-text box works as a string, but the WIFI: / vCard format is easy to get wrong by hand.
- What do error correction and the quiet zone do?
- Error correction (L, M, Q, H) spends pixels so a damaged print still scans — H survives more dirt and makes a denser code. The margin is the quiet zone in modules (default 4). Do not crop it off in a layout tool.
- Why PNG and not JPEG for the download?
- JPEG ringing on high-contrast modules can make a scan fail. The PNG comes from the canvas via toBlob. Recolour foreground and background here, then scan the download with your own phone before you print.
- Is the payload uploaded?
- No. The qrcode library draws on a canvas in this tab. An empty box renders a single-space placeholder so the library does not throw.
