A Wi-Fi QR code your guests scan instead of typing a password
Reading a 12-character mixed-case password aloud across a café is nobody's idea of hospitality. A Wi-Fi QR code encodes the network name, password, and security type in a machine-readable string; iOS and Android cameras recognize it natively and offer to join on the spot. Print one, frame it, and the router password stops being a support ticket.
This generator builds the standard WIFI: payload with correct escaping — the SSID and password are backslash-escaped for the five characters the format reserves (backslash, semicolon, comma, colon, quote), so punctuation in a password doesn't silently break the code. WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, and open networks are all supported, including hidden SSIDs that aren't broadcast.
Nothing is uploaded. The payload is assembled and rendered into the QR entirely in your browser, so the password never touches a server — it goes straight from your keyboard into the image you download. One caution worth repeating: anyone who can photograph the printed code can join your network, so place it where you mean it.
