A word counter that respects CJK text

Most word counters split on spaces, which quietly reports one word for an entire Chinese or Japanese paragraph. This counter treats each CJK character as a word in CJK runs and falls back to space-separated counting for Latin text — the same convention word processors use.

Beyond the headline numbers you get characters with and without spaces, sentence and paragraph counts, and reading time at 220 words per minute. The keyword density table excludes common English stop words and shows your top ten terms with their share of the text — handy for spotting over-optimization in SEO drafts.

Everything is computed live as you type, in your browser. Drafts, essays, and private documents never leave the tab.
